What we use
We use your browser’s local storage (and a small first-party cookie used by the game session) for three things only:
- Age confirmation. When you confirm you’re 18+ at the entry checkpoint, we remember that so you don’t see it on every visit.
- Your storage choice. Whether you accepted everything or only essentials, so the small notice doesn’t pop up again.
- Game session. Your virtual points, your stake selection and your sound preferences — kept locally so the game can pick up where you left off.
What we don’t use
- No advertising cookies.
- No third-party analytics or tag-manager scripts.
- No cross-site tracking.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
How to clear it
You can clear local storage at any time by using your browser’s “Clear site data” tool for volcanicderby.com. After clearing, you’ll see the entry checkpoint and the storage notice again the next time you visit.
Why a notice at all?
Even though we don’t use anything beyond essential local storage, we think it’s only fair to tell you up front. Two clear buttons, no dark patterns: accept all, or essential only.
